Details

The lactation period and increasing milk productions demand a lot of energy from our sows. The negative energy balance and the high consumption of various antioxidants and vitamins have a negative effect on egg cell development and a higher risk of less uniform litters. IF Sow fertil is a supplementary feed that has been specifically developed for an optimal oestrus and to support fertility.

The mix of the different fast energy sources ensures several high insulin peaks, which ensure sufficiently well-developed and more uniform egg cells. The more uniform this one, the more uniform the next flock. The high levels of vitamins and antioxidants will protect the egg cell.

Contains quickly available energy sources such as dextrose, sucrose, lactose and coconut fat.
High level of antioxidants, vitamins including beta-carotene & trace elements. Beta-carotene protects the follicles, thus ensuring better egg cell quality.
Better oestrus: shorter interval weaning - ovulation.
Better follicle and embryonic development. Consequently, more uniform litters (fewer small piglets).

Directions for use:

Provide 125 grams/sow/day from 4 days before weaning until covering over the feed with lacto feeds. Provide 175 grams/sow/day from 4 days before weaning until mating over the feed in gestation feeds. The simultaneous use of different organic acids or their salts is contraindicated when one or more of them are used at or near the maximum permitted level

Tips for a good heat stimulation:

Bear contact: ensure bear contact 2 times a day. Intensive but short from the day after weaning. Bring the sows to the boar rather than the boar to the sows.
Light output: 16-18 hours > 100 lux.
Condition: watch out for excessive weight loss during lactation (max 12%). For gilts, a fat thickness of 14-16 mm.
Food and water: a good condition when throwing is very important. Try to build up the feed after farrowing. Feeding three times a day to achieve maximum feed intake is recommended. Also ensure sufficient water availability of very good quality (water valve: art. number A00883).
Lactation: if the lactation period is < 18 days, there is insufficient recovery of the uterus. If the lactation period is > 28 days, there is too much loss of condition, which leads to smaller litters.
