IF Maxid Pigs 5000 is an feed supplement based on organic acids, short and medium chain fatty acids and essential oils.

In IF Maxid Pigs 5000 organic acids Whiteh short and middle chain fatty acids are combined that serve as food for the intestinal cell, which prevents the invasion of intestinal epithelial cells. A healthier intestine means higher resistance, better digestion and lower feed consumption.

Streptococcal infections are a major problem in pig farming. Here too, it leads to increased drop-out, increased use of antibiotics and less animal welfare. Especially young piglets are susceptible to the Streptococcus suis. This bacterium lives as a normal intestinal resident in the gastrointestinal tract of the host, but in some circumstances it can pass through the intestinal wall and cause infections in the body through the blood.
