Refresh, 10 kg

Refresh is a specially developed food supplement to combat heat stress. It is the best answer to high temperatures. During heat stress, metabolic acidosis (= reduction in blood acidity) occurs which has a negative influence on both feed intake and growth rate.

Refresh prevents this blood acidosis and compensates for the lowered blood pH through a combination of different buffers and specific dietary salts. IF Refresh is recommended in all high-temperature situations where the animals are breathing breathing, hyperventilating or so-called "open-mouth breathing".

Background information: At temperatures of + - 30 °C, a chicken can release its body heat to the environment by increasing its body surface area (for example: open wings) and by increasing blood flow to the skin and comb. In the event of heat stress (above 30 °C), the breathing frequency increases and the chicken breathes open. However, extra carbonated gas is exhaled by pumping breathing, which lowers the pH or acidity in the blood (disturbance of the ion balance). As a result of this there is a decrease in performance, ultimately resulting in death.

Composition: sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, dextrose, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, citric acid and vitamin C.

Dosage: 2 kg/1000 kg feed or 1 kg/1000 liter in pure fresh drinking water.
