IF Opticomfort Nutrition, 15 kg

Opticomfort Nutrition is an innovative and high-quality complete animal feed that can be given to the sow but can also be provided to piglets on the floor like a nesting powder. The aim is to start up the gut with good bacteria that ensure stable gut flora. Opticomfort Nutrition works preventively against Clostridium and E. coli diarrhoea.

Optimal hygiene and lying comfort:

A clean and healthy environment is vital for the health of piglets and can help prevent disease and infection. Opticomfort Nutrition already has the following properties to cope with this:

• Very soft texture, with little dust
• pH neutral, non-irritating to the skin*
• Water binding thanks to the addition of specific clay minerals such as Bentonite
• Active toxin control thanks to combination of Bentonite, Sepeolite and Clinoptinolite
• Active odour control

*Not based on chalk or lime. These products can irritate the animal's skin more quickly when wet.

Optimal gut flora:

A healthy gut flora is essential for the overall health and performance of piglets. Opticomfort Nutrition is enriched with a high proportion of copper, zinc and specific fatty acids (C6, C8, C10 and C12) that act antimicrobially. Pathogens (Clostridium, E. coli, ...) are trapped by the specific fibre preventing it from adhering to the intestinal wall. This reduces the risk of transmission of pathogens from environment to animal.

Present pre- and probiotics:

The fermentable fibre of chicory in combination with the bacteria Bacillus subitilis (4b1902) and Bacillus amyloquefaciens (4b1901) will colonise the intestine of piglets as well as sows at minimal intake, they are therefore found in the manure. After a few days, they colonise the entire farrowing pen. This results in better intestinal function and less diarrhoea. This positive effect can be carried over to the weaning pen.

These 2 bacterial strains are specifically selected to inhibit Clostridium and E. coli.

Instructions for use:

Piglet nest:

• Scatter a handful in the piglet nest before farrowing
• Once a day, scatter a handful until 5 days after farrowing (50-100g/m²)

Sows:

• 250 g/sow per day before feeding gestation feed from 1 week before farrowing to day of farrowing.
• 250-500 g/sow daily before lactation feeding from 1 week before farrowing until day of farrowing
