Activated filter medium, 25 kg
This activated glass, the latest generation of filter media, has been specially developed for filters. It is activated and produced from recycled glass, making it an environmentally friendly product. Activated filter glass is the perfect alternative to your filter sand. During production, we ensure that the dust content is kept as low as possible, significantly reducing bacterial growth compared to similar types of filter glass. Activated filter glass is fully sterilised and requires approximately 50% less rinse water to clean the filter media.
Advantages:
- Improves the quality and clarity of the water
- Removes the smallest inorganic particles (filter fineness of 5 µm)
- It can absorb a very large quantity of positive ions. In this way, it traps fine particles and flakes, but also removes positive ions such as iron and manganese from the water.
- Less susceptible to bacterial contamination.
The active filter medium is available in various types (grades of fineness).
