Diarrhoea is one of the most common conditions in young animals. It is often caused by a virus, bacterium or parasite, such as E. coli, rotavirus, coronavirus, cryptosporidium, coccidiosis and salmonella.

IF Glucopect is a supplementary feed developed to prevent stomach and intestinal disorders (anti-diarrhoea) in calves, lambs, goats and young piglets. First of all, there are the nutritional salts: these ensure that the young animal does not lose any more fluid unnecessarily. The glucose ensures that the weakened animal immediately has access to rapidly absorbable energy. The fruit pectins and absorbent dietary fibres protect the intestinal epithelium and regulate the intestinal flora. The bacillus bacteria stabilise the intestinal flora. Bicarbonate corrects metabolic acidosis. The palatability of the product ensures good absorption, and milk is also better absorbed.
