The lactation period and ever-increasing milk production demand a lot of energy from our sows. The negative energy balance and high consumption of various antioxidants and vitamins have a negative effect on egg cell development and increase the risk of less uniform litters. IF Sow Fertil is a supplementary feed that has been specifically developed to optimise oestrus and support fertility.

The mix of different fast energy sources causes multiple high insulin spikes, which ensure sufficiently well-developed and more uniform egg cells. The more uniform these are, the more uniform the next litter will be. The high levels of vitamins and antioxidants protect the egg cell.

Contains readily available energy sources such as dextrose, sucrose, lactose and coconut oil.
High levels of antioxidants, vitamins including beta-carotene, and trace elements. Beta-carotene protects the follicles, thereby improving egg quality.
Better oestrus: shortening the interval between weaning and ovulation.
Better follicle and embryonic development. Consequently, more uniform litters (fewer small piglets).

Dosage for use:

125 grams/sow/day from 4 days before weaning until mating, added to the feed in lactation feeds. 175 grams/sow/day from 4 days before weaning until mating, added to the feed in gestation feeds. The simultaneous use of different organic acids or their salts is contraindicated when one or more of them are used at or near the maximum permitted level.

Tips for effective bronze stimulation:

Boar contact: ensure boar contact twice a day. Intensive but brief from the day after weaning. It is preferable to bring the sows to the boar rather than the boar to the sows.
Light output: 16-18 hours > 100 lux
Condition: be careful not to lose too much weight during lactation (max. 12%). For gilts, a backfat thickness of 14-16 mm is recommended.
Food and water: good condition during spawning is very important. Try to build up the feed after spawning. Feeding three times a day to achieve maximum feed intake is recommended. Also ensure sufficient availability of very good quality water (water valve: item no. A00883).
Lactation: if the lactation period is < 18 days, there is insufficient recovery of the uterus. If the lactation period is > 28 days, there is too much loss of condition, resulting in smaller litters.
