Citric acid monohydrate is a water-soluble and fine granulate that is used for:
- Better dissolving of medicines (e.g. doxycycline)
- The antibiotic stays better in the solution due to the citric acid and thus prevents contamination in the pipes.
- Improving the taste of the solute and thus of the drinking water.
