Gerapyx iis an insecticide for dermal (pour-on) application in livestock animals, used, among other purposes, to repel the vectors of the bluetongue virus (Culicoides spp.) (PT19).
Bluetongue is a viral disease that primarily affects sheep and other ruminants such as cattle and goats. The disease can cause significant economic losses due to mortality, reduced productivity, and trade restrictions imposed during outbreaks. It is transmitted by insects of the Culicoides family (biting midges). Their population and impact can be reduced through the application of Gerapyx, a dermal* repellent based on natural pyrethrum.
