Brass/stainless steel manometer
Low-pressure manometer, fully made of stainless steel, with a 1/4" male thread connection in brass. These manometers are filled with glycerin.
The filling liquid, glycerin, dampens any pressure spikes, shocks, and vibrations that may occur, thereby protecting the internal mechanism of the manometer. This helps prevent material fatigue and failures. Another key benefit for the user is the guaranteed readability of the measured pressure. The filling liquid ensures that the pointer movement remains stable, even under heavy vibration loads. Without this liquid damping, the pointer would not indicate the actual pressure but would fluctuate due to vibrations or pulsations.
Lastly, at low ambient temperatures, the viewing window may fog up or even freeze — a problem that the filling liquid helps to prevent.
