Milk machine cleaning: How to be efficient and thorough

The guarantee of efficient and thorough cleaning of the milking installation is essential for cattle farmers who specialise in dairy cattle. Daily alkaline cleaning and weekly acid cleaning are necessary to keep the milking machine and cooling tanks hygienic and functional. And for this there are two products that complement each other perfectly: Alklor SB* and D10 Acide*.

Alklor SB: alkaline for daily use

Alklor SB is a chlorine-containing base that disinfects the milking installation and cleans its contents on the basis of sodium hypochlorite and sodium hydroxide. It degreases and has oxidising qualities. Daily maintenance of the machine can be done by using Alklor SB twice a day.

D10 Acide: Weekly acid treatment

Not only degreasing, but also the removal of minerals must be done at least once a week, depending on the amount of lime, iron, manganese, etc. present. D10 Acide acts on these minerals thanks to the power of nitric acid in combination with sulphuric and phosphoric acid. This cleaning is powerful, but not aggressive. It is best to use D10 Acide in alternation with Alklor SB.
